More people should realize just how much Syrus/Sho grew throughout GX and not judge him just on how he was at the beginning of the series. At the start, he was a lazy student and barely got into Duel Academy. At the end, he was valedictorian, hard working and focused on his studies, and is a very good duelist.
THis is very true! Shou grows so very much and I’ve seen people insist that he shouldn’t be a pro duelist at all, that he’s not good enough and never could be. These people do not know Shou, in my opinion. Pity. I bet they’d like him if they really got to know him.
Also, Shou is a troll. Probably the best troll at DA. Want evidence? Watch what he does in the hot springs episode with Manjoume. Then his duel against Kenzan in season two. I fear what could happen if he and Johan ever teamed up to troll together. It would be epic and I wish I had the time to write it.
